i ran the acitvator it restarted my computer but not it sais “can not open file C:/RECOVERY.DAT.” and in big letters is sais ERROR my laptop doesnt work anymore. im using another computer right now. Can anybody help me

I watched this last night when I was extremely tired and let it install while I slept, I didn’t even notice you used WinRAR to extract the installation files from the ISO. Oh well, at least now we know the ISO works on a virtual drive as well.

Thanks so much for posting this. My friends have been pushing me to upgrade to 7 and I was hesitant because I thought it would be difficult.

I downloaded the 64 bit version from your link, and it was an ISO image instead of a RAR folder. So, I had to improvise. I mounted the ISO image on a virtual disc drive with PowerISO and installed. Then, I had a little bit of confusion with the activator but in the end it worked. Also had to reinstall my display driver.

When you are installing, it will ask you for the product. Click “Next” (don’t worry, it will let you do that & don’t panic if it says that you have a trial). After everything is installed, run the activator. You will now see that it there is infact a product key installed and that you are no longer running a trial. Hope this helps

The curtain has been raised (slightly) on the next installment of Microsoft’s Windows operating system – Windows 7.

Microsoft hope it will bring the internet, mobile phone and PC closer together. But reviews have so far been mixed, although reviewers have been limited to trying the (pre-beta version).

The full version is expected to be capable of working with a touchscreen screen, navigating documents and the Web similar to Apple’s iPhone. It is officially released at the end of 2009.
