The HP touchsmart Tm2 is a huge leap in performance, finish and quality for the long running touchsmart multi-touch Tablet PC series. The touchsmart Tm2 now boasts a sleek new design and features a Wacom Active Digitizer pen and Multi-Touch Screen, dedicated ATI graphics, Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a 4 – 5 hour standard battery life. Tablet pcs like the Tm2 are much more than just consumption devices. The active digitizer pen allows you to enter data in your own handwriting at up to 40 wpm, take notes on digital paper and sketch and draw with pressure sensitivity. Coupled with Microsoft Office, you can draw on word documents, emails and powerpoint presentations. You can also read e-Books, web pages and pdf documents using the multi-touch functionality of Windows 7. As a Tablet PC the Tm2 functions extremely well and we recommend that it should be highly considered for students and home users. It can easily replace your current laptop or desktop.

Great review maybe the best one of them out there in depth wise thank you

The processor is almost the same, the cpu in the tm2 has better technology than the one in tx2 or tx2500.
Processor speed doesn’t matter these days for performance. FSB on this is faster. I was going to get the TX2 right until they announced the TM2. I got pissed that I had to wait for it to come out and now waiting for it to go down in price.

well that is not completely true considering the tx2 has an old AMD Athalon which is powerful for the time but it is single core which means it runs hotter, less efficient, and has less performance overall. If you get the upgraded graphics it will run rather nice games like call of duty. So your complete argument for the tx2 is wrong considering this runs longer better overall performance but it is lacking an optical drive, these are completely overrated at this time

Ahh well I’m happing with my TX2. The Tm2 only runs cooler because it has WAY less processing power. The Tm2 has 1.6-1.3ghz which is why its so cool. The Tx2 was 2.4-2.00 Ghz it had a much higher cpu processing which is why it was hotter. The tx2 was cheaper then the TM2 I recommend the Tm2 if your just going to use it for art but the Tx2 for powerhog applications and games like Adobe premiere. Internal disc drives are important for people that have only 1 computer or don’t wanna take up space.
