So I advise that you right-click and unlock your taskbar so you can then stretch it out. This is a good thing as you have more quick launch room and more program room. In my layout, I have space for 6 small quick launch icons and two rows of programs. This also allows me to display the day and the date (depending on the theme). The Taskbar is meant to have larger quick launch icons which you can get by going into control panel, appearance and themes, settings,advanced and tick use large icons. This makes all your icons bigger like in Vista (pretty much the same as Windows Seven). Warning: Most Vista themes hide the icons in the startmenu beside My Documents and My Pictures so it is advised you don’t use large icons. Another adjustment you can make is right clicking My Documents in the startmenu and clicking rename. Then delete the “My”. Vista took away the my as everything had that name.
