I had a mac and it was brilliant until I tried using it with my sound card, DJ interface and DMX interface of which non were compatible with mac.

i think if you install it with it plugged in, it seems to work 90% of the time. i have 64bit windows 7 and it worked for me the first time i installed it with it plugged in.

Thanks for making this video, Brian. I am one of the people who responded to the other video. I knew it was something with the OS deleting the drivers on restart. Now I see why. I have a question though. Did you figure this out on your own or did you get support from the folks at Serato?

I honestly don’t think you need to restart the computer each time. Just unplug the box and plug it back in when your decks arn’t showing in the program. You don’t even need to close SSL. This happens on my mac occasionally as well when I leave the SL1 plugged in when I turn off the computer and turn it back on. It seems to just be a problem with, “Hey I don’t see you but your there” kind of thing within the computer. Let us know if that restarting step becomes redundant.

How odd my edition loaded when I did a upgrade from vista.

I have found in the past if the ‘Registery’ is not cleaned (Use FREE Ver of IObit Advanced SystemCare 3 to do this) past settings and driver data carries over to the next version.

Don’t forget to return your original Win7 settings or your computer will be open.

Glad to see you got it working. Us Mac users just love our MacBooks, thats all. It is a big investment but worth it to me. Does everyone need to use a Mac, Hell no. But as always I suggest regardless of what it is, use what works for you and fits your budget… end of story. Thanks for all of the info with Serato & Win 7:)
