Windows 7 Dreamscene – Using A Video As Your Wallpaper (Narrated)

This is a quick look at getting and installing Windows Dreamscene for Windows 7. This allows you to set a movie or video clip as the background of your desktop. !!! “If you have a problem ctrl+alt+delete and restart your computer” !!! *Only works with .wmv and .mpg files* TESTED ON: x86 and x64 -seems to make desktop icons text clear. alright i managed to get it to where dreamscene will accept the video but when it comes up the video gets stopped after a few seconds. anything i can do to make it not do this?

i installed it and it did it correctly and all that, but when i right click my .wmv file “set as desktop backround” isnt in the options menu. help plz?

I have a problem. When i have finished the install disappears all the icons from my desktop and alla i can see is my gadgets. PLS HELP ME!!!!!

@yotafro i use format factory very easy to use, a lot of formats to convert to….and if u have a wrong or bad mp3 song u can convert it again with FF and then will be ok so both videos and song thats cool

go to desktop background and select, instead of tile, fill

im going to make an hd crysis dreamscene and im publishing it soon ! So help me by subscribing me and also to get it ! I have done it and its on my another pc and soon im going to upload it to internet ! you can expect it soon ! So the more subscriber i get the more soon i will upload ! @craca96 I’ll also recommend Any Video Convert. It’s the best converter for many (but not all) formats, plus its free.
On your question, there’s a glitch that makes the icon words clear. There’s no fix yet.

@Tempestes That’s fine. I would just say watch your laptops charge. videos will drain your battery. You might want to disable it If your battery is going dead too fast.

I’ve got it enabled now, and it plays the video smoothly on background.
Do you think it’s ok for my laptop: my system is Windows 7, 4gb RAM, 2.10 GHz, but I’m not sure about video card or something? lol

@Tempestes Links work for me. From what I’ve read ads on websites can cause avast and avg to throw up alerts. I use Adblock Plus so I don’t see advertisements. Anyone with avg and adblock let me know if you get the same alert. I’ve never had problems with the site.

I followed up the instructions for x64 and I don’t see the “set as background” message after right clicking a wmv file, why???

The curtain has been raised (slightly) on the next installment of Microsoft’s Windows operating system – Windows 7.

Microsoft hope it will bring the internet, mobile phone and PC closer together. But reviews have so far been mixed, although reviewers have been limited to trying the (pre-beta version).

The full version is expected to be capable of working with a touchscreen screen, navigating documents and the Web similar to Apple’s iPhone. It is officially released at the end of 2009.
