It doesn't run a couple programs right. Like Winamp won't install and Daemon tools errors, but it is faster. And gamers (like me =] ) will notice frame rates increase on games. I tried Ubuntu also but it was laggy at the time and gave my backup laptop issues. Try installing 7 before you sleep, it took mine a while.
